About the event
Learn how to save seeds from your garden to use in future years. This workshop will cover the basics of seed saving, pollination, selection, how to clean your seeds, and how to store your seeds for use in later years. From flower seeds to vegetables seeds, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge of how to collect and store your delicious and beautiful plants for this year to grow out in future generations. Henry Soto and Marisha Auerbach bring together decades of experience in saving seeds to catalyse your home collection and the beginning of a local seed library.
Lunch and beverages are available for purchase ($10). On farm salad trio in a recyclable paper shell: Italian Potato, Quick Pickles, Garden Salad with Richard's famous vinaigrette.
Tea, water, and aqua Fresca available. Please bring your own beverage bottle.
This workshop will follow the current safety protocols for COVID-19 as recommended by the county.
The location for this workshop is at Nana Cardoon in Forest Grove, OR. We will also be offering this workshop on August 7 in Portland, OR and possibly on September 4 in Eugene, OR.
